SYSTEM BRIEFING // CLEARANCE LEVEL: ATTENDING PHYSICIAN

NIGHT SHIFT BRIEFING

You are the attending intensivist on the night shift. Eight patients will be presented to you over the course of this simulation.

For each patient, you will see their vital signs, clinical notes, and a mortality probability score generated by the SOFA predictive algorithm. You have 30 seconds to make a decision.

DECISION OPTIONS

ESCALATE — Increase intervention, intubate, add vasopressors, call for specialist review.

MAINTAIN — Continue current treatment, monitor closely, reassess in one hour.

WITHDRAW — Transition to comfort care, remove life-sustaining treatment.

NOTE: The algorithm does not always explain its reasoning. Sensors can fail silently. Not all patients in the dataset were equally represented during training. Trust your clinical judgment.
